Handheld enclosures

Oct. 25, 2007
The handheld BOS Streamline enclosure, constructed of ABS plastic, is designed for use in mobile data recording and processing.

The unit’s angled-shape half-shells let lids and bases be arranged parallel to each other, or in a console desktop shape, making it suitable for handheld to desktop consoles. The symmetrical shape also lets the enclosure work lengthwise or crosswise. The enclosure can be configured with a display window or with a continuous membrane keypad.

The unit comes in three basic sizes from 119 65 26 mm to 209 98 35 mm for the parallel version in heights ranging from 36 to 52 (mm) on the inclined version. Ingress protection of the enclosure is IP40 without a decorative boot seal or up to IP65 with the seal or with a sponge cord gasket. The decorative boot seal comes as an accessory in five colors and, in addition to ingress protection, it functions as shock protection. The BOS Streamline can come with integral battery compartments that can be sealed to an IP65 rating.
