Cable sockets and plugs

Sept. 13, 2007
The SunCon line of cable sockets and plugs now handles cables with a diameter of 4.2 to 5.2 mm, have a captive gasket, are designed to operate in –40 to 110°C, have a contact resistance of less than 5 m?, a 1-kV reference voltage (dc), and a 23-to-30-A reference current.

Contacting is signaled by an audible click that rules out accidental circuit interruption. The connection is easy to disconnect without tools by a special twist mechanism. The SunCon connector system is for connecting photovoltaic systems and installation sockets and plugs for connecting to inverters.
