DataMan 100, the smallest fixed-mount ID reader, works with everything from printed bar codes to 2D direct-marked codes, says its manufacturer.

It uses IDQuick software, a company decoding tool for reading well-formed codes. A model with IDMax software is available for reading direct part-mark (DPM) codes. It features built-in illumination, beeper, adjustable optics, aimer, and a pushbutton trigger. They support an expanding list of 1D and 2D codes, including UPC/EAN/JAN, Code 39, Code 128, Code 93, Interleaved 2 of 5, Data Matrix, QR Code, and microQR Code.
