Crash course explores vibration analysis

Engineers looking to improve their understanding of vibration and how it affects mechanical equipment may want to consider taking a four-day course presented by The Vibration Institute. Machinery Vibration Analysis will be held February 15 to 18, 2011, in Tempe, Ariz. The course will focus on the effects of vibration, instrumentation used to measure it, techniques for analysis and control, and vibration correction and criteria. Case histories of industrial vibration problems are used to illustrate techniques. The class is recommended for those who have at least three years of experience in machinery vibrations, routinely use a data collector, and have taken a basic vibrations course.
