New extruded cable technology is said to be superior to molded cable-manufacturing methods, in which liquid is hand poured. A computer-controlled extrusion process produces solid, one-piece cables that are identical. Cable thickness is precisely controlled to within 0.005 in. and conductor spacing accuracy to within 0.002 in. Extruded cable is continuously cured, with no debris or material contamination. Round radiuses on each end of the cables make them stronger and more flexible.
