Global conference targets mid-career engineers

The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) announces the Global Engineering Management Conference, a new gathering aimed at mid-career engineers.

The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) announces the Global Engineering Management Conference, a new gathering aimed at mid-career engineers. The meeting is set for Sept. 13 to 16 at the Fairmont Dallas in Dallas, Tex. The conference will explore the challenges that the global work environment is exerting on the engineering profession and includes four tracks: Managing New Technology; Managing and Developing Engineers; Supply Chain Management within the Global Market; and Managing Your Ecological Footprint in the Energy and Environmental Era.

The meeting also will include several hands-on learning programs and activities, including a tour of the new Texas Instruments LEED manufacturing facility, networking cocktail hour hosted by author Debra Fine, a behind-the-scenes tour of the new Dallas Cowboys Stadium, and a leadership seminar by author Bryan Dodge.
