High-Flow Conductive Compounds

May 19, 2005
Easy-to-mold conductive polypropylene (PP) compounds have typical melt flows of 20 gm/ 10 min (2,160 gm at 230°C).

Easy-to-mold conductive polypropylene (PP) compounds have typical melt flows of 20 gm/ 10 min (2,160 gm at 230°C). Maximum surface resistivity is 104 w-cm and volume resistivity is < 25 w. The PPs also resist warping, and have a notched IZOD impact strength of 2.5 ft-lb/in. (133 J/m), and a "no break" unnotched IZOD impact strength. Applications include containers, totes, bins, pipette tips, and explosive handling products for medical, electronic, and biotechnical.
