The MKR hygienic 12-40 linear modules have a specially designed aluminum profile to prevent the buildup of liquids and foreign debris. Combined with a stainless-steel strip cover for the drive and guide elements, the design lets the unit eliminate residual liquid in applications such as food-processing machines or other wash-down environments.
The ready-to-mount modules come in lengths up to 12 meters and speeds to 5 m/sec. The belt-driven MKR uses the company’s ball-rail system for internal guidance for precise positioning. For additional protection against contamination, thin dense chrome plating can be applied to many internal components.
The modules feature a rigid aluminum frame, and can be specified in either a belt-driven version for precise positioning and zero backlash, or a ball-screw-driven version for travel speeds of up to 3 m/sec. A MKK version is also available.
