Linear Motor Cranks Out 8.4 g

Jan. 25, 2007
The QCI-L6 linear motor has full servo control and can accelerate loads at up to 8.4 g in closed-loop control and up to 1 g in open-loop control.

The QCI-L6 linear motor has full servo control and can accelerate loads at up to 8.4 g in closed-loop control and up to 1 g in open-loop control. Maximum velocity is 6.4 fps and a 1-µm encoder allows for ±25-µm accuracy and ±10-µm repeatability. Maximum force (continuous) is 6 lb, which takes 3 A from the 12-to-48-V power supply. Maximum platen length is 144 in.
