Polyimide Masking Tape

March 17, 2005
CHR K-201 and K-202 are pressure-sensitive tapes made from polyimide film backed with silicone adhesives.

They serve in fine-line masking of PCBs, as well as appliance powder coating. The substrates for the flexible K-201 and K-202 tapes are 0.001 and 0.002 in. thick, respectively. The tapes resist chemicals, abrasion, contamination, and temperature extremes (100 to 500°F). They are available in master logs (39 in. 36 yd), or in cut rolls (widths from 1/4 to 39 in. 36 yd).
