The TR400 ratemeter displays an automated system’s production rate or time in process with high accuracy.

A new system-slowdown test verifies relay setpoints and operation, letting users periodically test setpoints while the system is functioning normally, with no system recalibration required after testing is complete. Once activated, the ratemeter gradually scales down the actual input frequency, simulating a slowdown while the system maintains its normal running speed. The function reduces display speed and triggers the setpoint relays, verifying the system’s response to alarm status and system shutdown conditions. The test only takes seconds, and users can immediately return to viewing current system data. No system modifications are needed to resume normal operating conditions.

The TR400 displays rate or time in process by precisely detecting and converting 0.01 to 10,000-Hz signal input. Available with a single channel or with quadrature signal decoding for bidirectional applications, the ratemeter detects speed plus direction. The unit is now available with six relays and 4 to 20-mA analog output.
