Scanning Device Takes 3D Measurements

April 14, 2015

The portable HandySCAN 3D 300 and 700 models can generate 3D measurements of scanned objects at resolutions of 0.1 and 0.05 mm, respectively.  Working at speeds 25 times faster than the previous generation, HandySCAN produces data with an accuracy of up to 0.04 mm.

HandySCAN 3D uses VXelements software, and its outputs are compatible with Geomagic Solutions (3D Systems), PolyWorks (InnovMetric Software), CATIA V5 and SolidWorks  (Dassault), Pro/ENGINEER (PTC), NX and Solid Edge (Siemens ), and Inventor, Alias, 3ds Max, Maya, Softimage (Autodesk) platforms. Winner of the Red Dot: Product Design 2015, HandySCAN is a helpful aid for reverse engineering and part inspection.
