Linear Rod Actuators Mimic Hydraulic Force-Holding Specs
The RSX hydraulic-class electric linear rod actuator can be used to replace hydraulic cylinders by meeting the need for extreme forces. Featuring a roller-screw drive, it addresses applications include pressing, punching, stamping; riveting, fastening, joining; injection molding; and sawmilling. While the initial offering, the RSX-096, is capable of 30,000 lbf, new additions to the the RSX family are capable of 50,000 lbf/222.5 kN or higher. With Type III hardcoat-anodized aluminum or zinc-plated steel construction, it includes tie-rods and an anti-rotate feature that prevents the rod from rotating without external guidance. The actuator is rated IP67 to resist water from a light washdown and dust from outdoor environments. It can also be used for cold-weather operation.

Polymer Plane Bearings Ensure Food Safety
Metal detectable Poly-Round bearings target applications used directly over or near food product zones. These polymer plane bearings are available in shaft sizes from 1/2 to 1-7/16 in., in all styles of machined- or cast- stainless housings. Poly-Round bearings directly interchange with industry standard mounted bearings, and have no balls, no grease, no cage, and no seals. They are clean-operating, metal detectable, x-ray detectable, and optically detectable with blue polymer to enhance food safety.

Conveyor Incorporates Mini-Buffer for Faster Container Processing
The AdaptA ML series of flat, multi-lane conveyor systems features first-in, first-out product flow and pressure-less accumulation with high speed capabilities. It can be used to transport non-round, odd-shaped containers, and is scalable and easy to operate. Two small AdaptA Mini-Buffer are integrated into its design to offer an innovative packaging loop that handles rounds at higher speeds with virtually no changeover. It is available in a variety of layout configurations that can be custom fit to production lines. Floor-level construction improves safety and reduces product damage when compared to vertical, spiral accumulators.

Smaller Frame Sizes Added to Stepper Motor Series
PMX Series stepper motors come in multiple frame sizes (08, 11, 14, 17, 23, and 34) and support a range of applications. They offer co-engineering capabilities like shaft customization, mounted incremental or absolute encoders, and mounted planetary and spur (offset) gearboxes. Up to 5 length options can be achieved with a single encoder, depending on the model. It can hold top-end torques ranging from 0.028 to 12.280 N-m. A wide range of optional features include bipolar and unipolar windings, integral connectors, shaft flats and keyways, and rear shafts. They are sealed to IP65 protection, and are CE, RoHS and REACH compliant. Available models can achieve 1.8 and 0.9 degree step angles.

Vertical Case Packers Handles Products with Care
The Vertical Case Packer is a clean bottom-loader machine that offers a solution to “pick and place” systems, handling products gently and with full support. Its open design offers better access to internal workings for machine operators to quickly and efficiently identify and diagnose maintenance needs. The machine also incorporates an embedded LED intelligent lighting system that provides visual cues about the machine. These may include low product levels, low case magazines, product jams, and tripped safety circuits.

Form-Fill-Seal Machines Ensure Sterilization, Fast Processing
The Erca EF 320L Form-Fill-Seal (FFS) machine fulfills ultra-clean hygienic operations, including those in the dairy industry. It incorporates Class-10 laminar-flow systems or tunnels to ensure sanitation during sealing processes. Its maximum forming depth of 100 mm makes it suitable for small containers in the dairy industry. It is available in clean, ultra-clean, and aseptic formats. In yogurt factories, it has been used to cycle upwards of 20,000 cups per hour at 18 to 30 cycles per minute.

Tamper-Evident Machines Automate a Range of Tasks
Tamper-Evident Machines with serialization capabilities outfit a range of applications, including adding anti-counterfeiting and track-and-trace features to pharmaceutical cartons. Software linked to its vision system enables the machine to print a unique identity and 2D matrix code onto each individual carton. All data on the serialized cartons is stored so that the manufacturer can track each package at any point in the supply chain. Also operating at 300 products per minute, the Tamper-Evident machine with Serialization is compatible with vision systems from all major suppliers. It is operated from one side and is also available with a 3rd label applicator for vignette labeling.
