The LASERDYNE 606D multi-axis laser processing system features two independent work stations in a single unitized structure. The two work stations are fast and accurate with an X-Y-Z speed of 2000 in./min., 2-g acceleration, and bi-directional accuracy of 0.0008 in. (20 µm). It consists of two 6-axis motion systems, a Class 1 enclosure with dual-automated doors, two S94P laser-process controls for motion and laser coordination, and two fiber lasers, which can be the same type or different. Graphite fiber composite structures for the linear axes contribute to the system’s high dynamic accuracy, and linear motors on the X and Y axes improve throughput.

HMI Indicators Are Easy to Install
Series 45 indicators for human-machine interfaces feature a broad range of machine operating functions, and are available with full-face or front illumination. Complete with 29.45 mm or 38 mm bezels, they can provide all-around visibility. Fiber Optic Cables Eliminate Signal Jitter
The PFO-100-TR fiber-optic transmitter and receiver is capable of transmitting data at distances up to 40 kilometer, or 80 kilometer upon request. Single mode fiber-optic cables are available, along with multi-mode fiber-optic cables for shorter distances. Signal-jitter elimination circuitry ensures high quality transmission over long distances and qualifies them for cross-town fiber links, cross-campus productions, remote camera links, pre-installed fiber venues, and other applications. The combined PFO-100 transmitter and receiver are a matched pair for specific wavelengths, which may be either the standard 1310 nm or any requested wavelength between 1270-1610 nm.

Customizable Housing Broadens Controller Options
The ME-IO housing enables design engineers to create and build their own custom controllers. A variety of widths, heights, and configurations are offered. Models can accommodate up to 60 connection points in an 18-mm wide package, but larger widths of 37.6 mm and 75.2 mm are also available. The housing has two types of plugs for fast and easy field termination, and features built-in backplane communication for scalable design, without taking up valuable connection points for communication. Motion Modules Support CanOPEN Communications
The Lexium Motion Module (LMM) is a compact programmable motion controller that is now offered with CANopen supporting CiA DS301: CANopen Application Layer/Communication Profile and DSP402: Device Profile for Drives/Motion Control. It is offered with a 1-axis Development Board, which includes isolated I/O, CAN communications transceivers, and locking pluggable connectors, or as a part of a complete starter kit with the development board, a NEMA 17 frame motor and encoder, a USB-to-CAN communications converter, and a power supply. The module measures 2.7 x 1.4 x 0.16 in. (68 x 35 x 4 mm). In addition, a selection of motors is available to complement the 1.5 Amp LMM including rotary stepper motors in NEMA sizes 8 (20mm), 11 (28mm), 14 (36mm) and 17 (42mm). Custom motor sizes and styles are also available, as are LMM with alternate power levels and communication platforms.
