Sensor with onboard GPS

The 3DM-GX3-35 sensor features an attitude-heading reference system (AHRS) and an onboard global-positioning-system (GPS) receiver

The 3DM-GX3-35 sensor features an attitude-heading reference system (AHRS) and an onboard global-positioning-system (GPS) receiver. The AHRS and the GPS independently provide time-correlated measurements suitable for applications where users are implementing their own host-based GPS/INS Kalman Filter.

An application-programming interface can customize data messages for specific quantities at mixed data rates. A new synchronized time-stamping feature provides attitude and GPS data correlated in time for improved data analysis. The sensor is fully calibrated and temperature compensated for –40 to 65°C. Users can specify sensor ranges including ±5, ±1.7, ±16, or ±50-g accelerometers, and 50°/sec, 300°/sec, 600°/sec, and 1,200°/sec angular-rate sensors.
