Thermal Circuit Breaker

May 22, 2014
Thermal Circuit Breaker
The Model T9-818 fuseholder-style thermal circuit breaker is for PCB mounting. Its dimensions are comparable to those of traditional fuseholders and it’s designed for direct placement on circuit boards. The circuit breakers feature quick connect terminals for front and rear snap-in panel mounting, as well as a threaded neck-mounting style.

The T9-818 takes up little space and its reset button protrudes only minimally from the front panel. Two mounting pins provide additional mechanical support on the circuit board and protect the solder connections from additional pressure when the reset button is activated.

The T9’s shape offers an alternative to 5 × 20 fuses and their fuseholders, where current surges can lead to premature opening or aging over time. Rated current ranges are from 3 to 15 A at 240 Vac and 48/32 Vdc.
