Amphenol Introduces Updated SurLok Plus Connectors with 1500 VDC Voltage Capacity

Dec. 20, 2023
The expanded SurLok Series is designed for high-current applications and harsh environments.

Amphenol Industrial Operations (AIO) has expanded its SurLok Plus series with the inclusion of 0.8 mm and 10.3 mm right-angle connectors. Designed to provide high reliability in demanding environments, they are suitable solutions for the energy storage market, electric vehicles (EVs) and battery solutions.

The SurLok Plus Series has a voltage capacity of 1,500 VDC, catering to applications that require a higher amperage and voltage within smaller envelopes. The connectors are environmentally sealed and have an IP 67 protection rating for use in harsh environments.

Key features of the SurLok Plus updated connectors include:

  • Voltage capacity of 1,500 VDC
  • Suitable for DC to DC and AC to AC power transfers
  • Quick lock and press-to-release design
  • Mechanical keyway options for preventing mis-mating
  • Self-cleaning grid for maintaining clean contacts and connectors.

Options for Power Distribution

The connectors offer users enhanced options for power distribution—especially in energy storage, EVs and industrial applications. They have industry-standard screw and Busbar termination options that do not require special torque tools for installation.

The certified connectors incorporate R4 RadSok technology for increased amperage and reduced insertion force, allowing users to integrate high-current connectors into projects.
