Integrating sensors into inventory and parts management is at the core of a wireless managed solution announced Feb. 17.
Trelleborg Sealing Solutions launched its IntelliStok system in the United States and Canada, with the company stating the system “eliminates the need to manually check and scan inventory, potentially saving thousands of dollars each year.”
The wireless solution utilizes sensors to automate the ordering process. The system sends secure orders to Trelleborg when supplies run low. The real-time tracking allows supplies to be replenished when inventories reach a specific level, which also cuts down on the potential for parts shortages. In a world still impacted by COVID-19, Trelleborg officials said the system eliminates the need for hand-held scanners, which would reduce the spread of germs.
“We are very excited to offer our customers this innovative bin stocking management solution, which can dramatically reduce the time, steps and costs associated with ordering, while ensuring appropriate stock levels are maintained,” Linda Muroski, president of marketing, Americas and Global Healthcare & Medical at Trelleborg, said in a press release. “As a leading supply partner, Trelleborg Sealing Solutions continues to show dedication to customers by providing a superior advanced delivery solution.”
