Next week, the Association for Advancing Automation (A3) will host its virtual Automate Forward conference. The event will feature a host of speakers and presentations on various grades of automation and will be live March 22-26.
There are different types of automation potential for each application, and sometimes it doesn’t make sense to automate every part of a process. This can leave executives and decision-makers lost as to where to begin their automation journey. As connection technologies like 5G and digital twins advance, the use case for automating some processes will make more sense. Automate Forward’s speaker line up will put to rest some of these lingering automation questions.
For companies that aren’t seeking to break the mold in their automation process due to cost or availability, there are presentations slated on technologies that focus on more traditional industrial automation.
Technologies featured in keynotes include robotics, motion control, AI and smart automation. Executive roundtables will dive into use cases for automation technologies and potential future IoT trends.
Some keynote panels include:
- Mon., March 22 at 10 a.m. EDT: The New Industries Driving the Growth of Automation and Robotics with representatives from ATI Industrial Automation, Procter & Gamble, Jabil, FedEx Ground and KUKA Robotics.
- Tues., March 23 at 10 a.m. EDT: The 2021 State of the Automation Industry Executive Roundtable with representative from FANUC AMERICA, B&R Automation, Honeywell Intelligrated, Intel and Stäubli.
- Wed., March 24 at 10 a.m. EDT: The Rise of Smart Automation with representatives from Microsoft, General Motors, IBM, GE and Seegrid.
- Thurs., March 25 at 10 a.m. EDT: How Collaborative Automation is Driving Productivity with representative from Schunk USA, Calvary Robotics, Teradyne and Denso Robotics.
- Fri., March 26 at 10 a.m. EDT: Autonomous Mobile Robots: How to Get Started with representatives from Locus Robotics, Mobile Industrial Robots, OTTO Motors, AutoGuide Mobile Robots and Fetch Robotics.
The second half of each day will have two presentation routes that will also showcase new technologies, applications and tips to help you begin (or advance) your automation journey. These topics include 4D vision, picking and grasping, robotics safety, AMRs, AI, deep learning, cobots, sustainability and robotics abrasive processing of weldments.
Along with the technical sessions, attendees will also have the ability to “visit” hundreds of booths in the exhibition area to talk one-on-one with automation technology innovators.
Registration is free for the entire event.
