Outlet of the future?

The Arrow/Hart TR7745W and TR7746W outlets from Cooper Wiring Devices, Peachtree City, Ga., carry two grounded outlets for 125€Vac, which have tamperresistant shutter assemblies (as per NEC Article 406.12). The outlet can also recharge electronic devices through two USB ports without the need for adapters or computers. The unit is a drop-in replacement for standard duplex receptacles and comes with prestripped wire leads for easy installation.

The units have thermoplastic tops and back-bodies that come in five neutral colors. It meets UL€94 flammability requirements and will work in temperatures from –20 to 140°F. All dc outputs are protected with current limiting and thermal shutdown in case of overheating. The TR7745 is rated for 15 A while the TR7746 can handle 20 A.
