The buzzwords of AI and cloud computing have been replaced with systems that drive real applications today. That creates new possibilities and new connections for data and workers. In turn, this is leading to more intelligent plant floor decisions made faster, according to Bosch Rexroth Product Manager Dan Barrera.
Barrera discussed this new paradigm with Machine Design senior content director Bob Vavra. He noted that it goes beyond just the new technology available to actual opportunities for manufacturers to address the bottlenecks and inefficiencies in data management in new ways.
