Creo 12 brings a host of features designed to address common product development challenges. This release introduces more than 250 updates intended to improve engineering workflows and efficiency. Creo 12 supports a range of applications, from aerospace components to industrial systems.
Creo 12 introduces updates that reduce friction; speed up the design, test and refine cycle; and help engineers stay focused on solving problems. Among them:
- Feature presets can be applied with a click, creating consistency across teams and giving engineers more time to actually design.
- Powered by Ansys, Creo Simulation Live provides instant structural, thermal and modal analysis, now with improvements to analysis of bolted structures, including automatic contact detection.
- Thermal physics have now been added to Creo’s AI-driven generative design capabilities, allowing engineers to explore better-performing concepts earlier in the process.
- Everyday tools—from sketching and surfacing to multi-body and sheet metal design—have been improved.
- Expanded Model-Based Definition enables product data to be embedded directly into the 3D model.
- Improvements in cable harness design now enable teams to handle electrical systems as full assemblies.
The latest version of Creo+, a software-as-a-service (SaaS) version of Creo that offers cloud-enabled collaboration and entitlement tools for geographically dispersed teams, is also now available.
