Circular Design Takes the Stage at Pack Expo

Sept. 8, 2023
Dow experts to address sustainability at special show events.

Circular design process takes the lifecycle of any machine from its inception through design, operations and end of use, and then considers decommissioning and the recycling of the machine components into other new design. Those attending Pack Expo (Sept. 11-13 in Las Vegas) will see the full circular lifecycle as part of the show's new Sustainability Central space at booth N9455.

Among the presenters at the showcase will be Dow, which will discuss its thoughts on how to evolve the packaging lifecycle, including ideas such as post-consumer recycled (PCR), low-carbon, biobased materials and lightweight material and techniques.

There will be two presentations from Dow officials:

  • Reshuffling the Deck: A New Perspective on the Take-Make System on Sept. 11 at 10 a.m. on the Sustainability Stage. The speaker is Daniella Souza Miranda, global business director for circular and renewable solutions at Dow.
  • Go All in: Winning the Bet on Circular Solutions will be presented on Sept. 12 at 12:30 p.m. on the Innovation Stage. Dow speakers will be Michelle Sauder, marketing director, food & specialty packaging; Heather Turner, marketing director, industrial & consumer packaging; and Rennisha Wickham, senior marketing manager for rigid packaging.
