The XMC5000 series microcontrollers offer high processing power with Dual Arm® Cortex®-M4FM0+ cores, real-time capabilities, and integrated connectivity options. The XMC5000 MCUs provide scalable, high-performance solutions for industrial and home applications, including power tools, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), and motor control.

The Infineon Technologies XMC5000 MCUs, now at Mouser, feature up to 2 MB of Flash memory and up to 256 KB of RAM. The XMC5000 series MCUs feature a supply voltage range from 2.7 V to 5.5 V to ensure compatibility with both 3.3 V and 5 V systems. With power-saving features such as low-power modes, the XMC5000 series is suitable for energy-critical applications. The XMC5000 MCUs are also reliable in harsh environments, featuring an operating temperature range of -40°C to 125°C. The XMC5000 series supports scalability with 64-pin to 144-pin QFP package options.

The XMC5000 series includes three variants, each suited to specific needs. The XMC5100 features an 80 MHz Cortex-M4 and is ideal for cost-sensitive applications such as motor control, HVAC, and lighting. The XMC5200 includes a 160 MHz Cortex-M4 for mid-range applications that require more I/O. The XMC5300 features a high-end 160 MHz Cortex-M4 for complex systems, including gateways.

Also available from Mouser, Infineon's KITXMC52EVKT evaluation board provides a user-friendly development environment for rapid prototyping with the XMC5000 MCU series. Featuring an Arduino-compatible form factor, the KITXMC52EVKT supports seamless connectivity with standard Arduino shields, enabling rapid prototyping and hardware expansion.
