Check out this You Tube video showing employees at the GM Lordstown Assembly Plant, Warren, Ohio, building the new Chevy Cruze and "loving it." I'm told the car is intended as a direct competitor to the Toyota Corolla. I own a 2009 Corolla and like it a lot, but I wouldn't mind test driving a Cruze. Looks like a spiffy little car! Good power, handles well, 40-miles per gallon, and a nicely appointed interior that gets lots of light. Of course, GM is a global organization and I'm told the product teams at Lordstown include engineers from all the manufacturing sites around the world. But it's great to see an effort to bolster the creation of U.S. jobs.
