Siemens has announced it intends to purchase LMS International NV (Leuven, Belgium), a provider of test and mechatronic simulation software ( which includes model-based systems engineering) to the automotive, aerospace, and other advanced manufacturing industries. Siemens says the acquition will make it the first PLM software company to provide a closed-loop, systems-driven package that includes integrated test management. This approach is said to boost simulation accuracy.
