    It was big news to learn that Siemens is to purchase LMS International. Well take off your hats! Another mindblower has just come down the pike:

    3D Systems announced it has signed an agreement to acquire Geomagic, Inc. Geomagic provides design, sculpt, and scan-software tools used to create 3D content as well as to inspect products anywhere in the design and manufacturing process. The acquisition is expected to close during the first quarter of 2013.
