Subject-matter experts from Rockwell Automation, in conjunction with PMMI, the Association for Packaging and Processing Technology, will take to the Innovation Stage for three consecutive days at Pack Expo 2016, offering free educational programming that addresses challenges and trends concerning track-and-trace, remote-monitoring, and smart machines.
Sunday, Nov. 6, featured the presentation “Deliver Valuable Genealogy/Track-and-Trace Information for Improved Production Control, Accountability, Safety and Economic Value.” Craig Winterland , business development manager for Global Solutions at Rockwell, posed how applications that deliver genealogy and track-and-trace information can help boost production control, accountability, safety, and economic value.
The interactive “Remote Monitoring” session, slated for Mon., Nov. 7, and presented by Rockwell Automation product manager Axel Rodriguez, will show a secure system for the cloud and quickly rising Internet of Things. The system empowers OEMs to remotely analyze and optimize performance of their assets. The session will include a live connection to several machines.
Steve Mulder, Rockwell’s regional segment manager for packaging, takes the stage on Tues., Nov. 8, with his “Building a Smarter Machine” presentation. He will discuss how leading machine and equipment builders are capitalizing on developing machines that easily integrate into a facility, provide access to information, and react to changing market demands.
