New compact linear actuators developed by Oriental Motor come with a built-in controller driver or pulse input driver. The DRLII devices, available with or without a guide, combine with 24-V dc microstepping drivers for precise positioning. A range of sizes are offered with new maximum speed levels and lead screw pitches for ground and rolled ball screw types. A hollow rotor, which contains a ball screw, also rotates the ball screw nut. Setting up an anti-spin mechanism on the tip of the ball screw linearly actuates the ball screw shaft.
