Tuesday, November 12, German rock band "Compressorhead" performed for crowds in Union Square, NYC. The three band members (Fingers, Bones, and Stickboy) are 5 feet tall and made from scrap metal. Their function is made possible by electro pneumatics with behind the scenes help using a Midi controller for music. This is the bands first time in New York and previously played at Austrailia's Big Day Out concert event this past January. Compressorhead has been pre-programmed to play a wide range of rock songs, with their motor functions on stage controlled by the backstage crew.
