Fuel-cell technology 101

    Science students from The Academy of the Holy Names for Girls are among the most recent participants in General Motors' Tech Tour for Students program.

    The goal is to teach middle-school students about fuel-cell technology by letting them help assemble a hydrogen fuel-cell model car. Students also learn about the environmental and economic benefits of the technology and of GM's fuel-cell research and development work.

    The program is part of GM's nationwide in-school fuel-cell education program called Fuel Cells: Driving the Future. The Tech Tour for Students is making its way through five U.S. cities, including Albany-Troy, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Sacramento, in conjunction with the 2003 GM Technology Tour.
