Slim linear actuators, presses

June 5, 2003
Spectrum Slim-Line Series linear actuators and presses are designed for bench-top manual operations, semiautomated, and fully automated systems.

The actuators work 10 ft or more from the power supply. They mount directly on a machine frame or come with a fixed rigid column with integrated mounting hub and support frame assembly. Features include integrated hydraulic speed controls, post-cooling manifolds, built-in pneumatic controls, and microadjustable positive stops. The actuators also offer features for staking by depth or force and include a new selectable preheating mode for installing threaded inserts or hot knife degating. Another new feature includes a secondary cold-staking operation that provides plastic resolidification under high loads.
