NASCAR Racers Get Toolholding Help

The Joe Gibbs Racing Team, one of NASCAR’s premier Sprint Cup racing teams, will be relying on high-tech pallets and other workholding technology from Schunk Inc.

Schunk will provide equipment that will let the team modify race cars for specific race courses by helping them cut new parts cut quickly. Schunk’s Unilock Zero Point pallet, for example, should shorten turnaround times, getting parts into machining equipment with 0.0002-in. repeatability.
