The Fluid Power Conference & Expo on May 15 & 16 at the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay Hotel in Tampa, Fla., offers more than 18 seminars on a variety of topics, from fluid-power fundamentals to compressed-air preparation, from motion-control basics to hydraulic-systems filtration, and more.

Some examples of the sessions are: Hydraulic Integrated Circuits, which will give an overview of cartridge technologies, manifold systems, and application examples of hydraulic integrated circuits; Water Hydraulics will examine when and when not to use water as a hydraulic fluid, hydrodynamic lubrication, the effect of viscosity on performance, corrosion, microbial growth, and additives; Hose & Tubing Assemblies will cover the use of both hose and tube in fluid-transfer applications; and Reducing Shock & Vibration will look at how fast-acting, heavy-duty hydraulic systems often create heavy-impact shock and vibration, resulting in a toll on system and structures.
