Code generation makes for better off-roaders

March 17, 2005
Control software for the electronic transfer case of the new 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee was developed using TargetLink from dSpace Inc., Novi, Mich.

(dspaceinc.com). The transfer case is the key control element in the distribution of engine power between wheels in the Jeep 4 X 4 system. Automatic production-code generators like TargetLink translate simulation models directly into programming code for electronic control units. The code generated by TargetLink is tested on actual target processors and then is brought up to production specifications by integrated testing and analysis tools. DSpace also celebrates its fifth anniversary this year.
