Kubotek USA, developer of KeyCreator CAD software, has joined the SolidWorks Solution Partner program.

The part model was imported into SolidWorks from Dassault's Catia and then transferred into KeyCreator for postdesign work.

Kubotek USA,developer of KeyCreator CAD software, has joined the SolidWorks Solution Partner program. The goal is to facilitate the sharing of product data and models that come from a range of CAD packages.

"A recent survey showed 94% engineers do not receive files in their preferred format," said Kubotek USA Sales Manager Bill DeAngelis. But KeyCreator, he adds, works on imported models as if they were native files so users need not maintain several CAD products to reuse legacy data. "Direct editing in the program lets users modify features on imported models by manipulating the actual geometry, not the model-construction steps," he adds.

"KeyCreator has tools to easily import and modify design data from almost anywhere and send these designs into SolidWorks," says SolidWorks Corp. Solution Partner Program Manager Brian Houle.
