The British firm, Falx Air is looking to develop a hybrid electric tiltrotor personal aircraft that will go up to 230 mph. A gasoline-powered generator will power the electric motors that rotors run off of. An onboard battery will provide the power boost necessary for takeoff. The proposed aircraft would weight as little as 1,000 lb and cost $1.5 million.
