What do you get when you combine the front of a ‘57 Chevy Belair, the two-toned sides of a ‘58 Chevy Impala, and the back end of a ‘59 Chevy? If you’re an engineer from N2A Motors (No Two Alike) in Santa Ana., Calif., you wind up with a $135,000 convertible dubbed the 789. It is built on a 2005-7 Corvette chassis, practically the same chassis that has won its class at LeMans over the last couple of years. Power comes from a 400-hp aluminum-block Corvette engine. The coupe also carries a custom Borla exhaust and highperformance PST sway bars. But if that’s not enough, N2A will be more than happy to add anything from turbocharging and ceramic brakes to a 1-kW stereo and solid silver dashboard hardware — if you’re willing to pay for it. But you better hurry. The company plans to build only 100 of these throwback beauties.
