Fundamentals of Random Vibration and Shock Testing
Aug. 23-25 — Wayne Tustin, founder of the Equipment Reliability Institute, will discuss severe vibrations aboard rockets, spacecraft, and satellites en route to orbit, as well as those of automobiles and other land vehicles, at the “Fundamentals of Random Vibration and Shock Testing, HALT, ESS, HASS Measurements, Analysis and Calibration” course. The course will also deal with accelerometers used in measurements over the road, over the waves, in flight, and during rocket launch and powered flight. The meeting will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Harbormasters Classroom in Santa Barbara, Calif.
