Incremental Encoder

Jan. 25, 2007
The Model 862 incremental encoder has a strong resistance to vibration and shock and is electrically insulated up to 2.5 kV.

The heavy-duty encoder comes with short-circuit-protected outputs and reverse polarity protection. An optional Advanced Diagnostics System lets users plug the encoder into a PC via the serial port to download information such as its highest temperature and hours of operation. Standard line counts for Model 862 include 1,000, 1,024, 2,048, 2,500, 3,072, 4,096, and 5,000 with high-current HTL and HTL outputs. The hollow shaft comes in three configurations: 12 and 16-mm diameters and a 17-mm taper.
