The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies (PMMI) is making inroads into the Northeast, thanks to the newest event in its PACK EXPO portfolio of trade shows. PACK EXPO East will take place Feb. 16-18, 2015 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.

“We learned through customer research that we have a great opportunity for both PACK EXPO exhibitors and end users in the Northeast,” says Jim Pittas, Sr. PMMI’s vice president, Tradeshows. “Whether your market is confectionery, baking/snack, pharmaceutical and medical devices, food, beverage, electronics, or something else, PACK EXPO East will bring an exclusive focus on processing and packaging technologies, top-tier exhibitors, and a customer-centric approach to operational needs.”

The show will offer regional attendees a unique opportunity to cross-pollinate ideas between industries. Attendees will be able to partake of educational opportunities including Innovation Stage sessions, on-floor education at exhibitor booths, and activities in conjunction with packaging and processing educators.

“Philadelphia is an accessible and affordable destination for manufacturing professionals on the East Coast,” Pittas continues. “By hosting a PACK EXPO event here, we’re creating an opportunity for manufacturers to bring more team members to the show, so they can explore innovations on the line and new solutions that they’ve never considered before.”

PACK EXPO East’s educational programming will address challenges in sustainability, food safety, and automation, in addition to providing networking opportunities to connect with suppliers and peers.

For more information and to register, visit the PACK EXPO East website. The registration fee, normally $60, has been discounted to $30 through Jan. 21, 2015.
