Osprey nearly ready for duty

The MV-22 Osprey, the Marine Corps' tilt-rotor aircraft, should get the go-ahead this summer for deployment, based in part on its performance in testing done in February and March.

"The Osprey showed its full potential, both in mission performance and reliability," says Col. Mathew Mulhern, Joint Program Manager. Missions included assault raids, casualty evacuations, and battlefield logistics, among others.
