Product Blitz: Stay on Top of Innovations

March 20, 2020
Featured: Bosch Rexroth, Analytical Systems Keco, Monaghan Tooling Group.

During this time of challenge for our nation and our manufacturing sector, the business of developing new production systems continues. To help that process move forward, Machine Design will feature three new products each day to keep innovation at the top of mind for our end-users, our OEMs and integrators, and our supply community.

Piston Gear Pump Assembly

Completely assembled and ready for integration, the Bosch-Rexroth piston-gear pump assembly features a common port that eliminates the dedicated suction line for the gear pump.

Featuring an optimized pump interface, the piston-gear pump assembly is designed to help mobile machine builders fit multiple pump configurations into tight machine spaces. The new piston-gear pump assembly with common suction port is designed to provide a compact, fully engineered tandem pump configuration for mobile machines that use both types of hydraulic pumps to power implements and other equipment. The new tandem configuration combines two proven Rexroth hydraulic pump series: the A1VO/A10VO axial piston pumps and the AZPF/AZPW external gear pumps. The piston-gear pump assembly incorporates a common suction port, eliminating the need for separate hydraulic lines to each pump and reducing potential points of failure or leakage, as well as reducing costs associated with hydraulic feed lines.

Crude Oil Analyzer

The Model 205 H2S in Crude Oil Analyzer from Analytical Systems Keco offers a real-time, automated, highly accurate and safe method for monitoring H2S concentration in crude at LACT (Lease Automated Custody Transfer), TACT (Truck Automated Custody Transfer) systems and meter runs. Monitoring H2S in crude is critical to maintain personnel safety, avoid cross-contamination that effects product quality, ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, and control corrosion. The Model 205 H2S in Crude Oil Analyzer replaces manual grab sampling for lab analysis. This inline analyzer is an automated technology that offers repeatability of 1% compared to 30% with manual grab methods. Instead of waiting days for lab results that are often inaccurate, operators get real-time, accurate and repeatable readings.

Runout Compensation Nuts

Monaghan Tooling’s Reamtec easyZERO runout compensation nuts feature improved precision to allow for up to 0.002 in. (0.050 mm) runout to be dialed in easily and quickly. Users can correct runout errors and misalignment for all round tools using ER collets in just minutes, with virtually no scrap. Installed with ease, the innovative replacement nuts feature six adjustment screws that allow for more accurate machining, creating parts tighter to tolerance and with better surface finishes—especially on difficult parts. By controlling runout, users spend less time tapping and resetting tools and collets, which increases production capability, saves time, and reduces scrap and out-of-tolerance parts. Concentric cutting equally distributes the chip load, leading to longer tool life and lower tool costs for reamers, drills, end mills and round tools where runout is a concern.
