DIN Rail Converters

TDK Corporation has introduced the TDK-Lambda brand DIN rail mount DDA dc-dc converters.  The series uses step-down non-isolated power modules that operate from an input range of 9 up to 53 V dc, with a wide adjustable output voltage range of 3.3 up to 24 V. The DDA is ideally suited for generating additional low-cost, high-current outputs from an existing 24 V bus in industrial, semi-fabrication and test-and-measurement equipment. Three models are available in the DDA series.  A single nominal output +12 V 20 A, a dual output +12 V 20 A/+5 V 20 A and a dual output +12 V 14 A/−12 V 8 A. Output power is typically 250 W for each of the positive outputs and 75 W for the negative output. Convection cooled the overall output power is 250 W, which can be increased to up to 500 W with forced air cooling.

Co-act Gripper

Recently introduced as part of SCHUNK’s plug-and-work portfolio, the new EGH Co-act gripper allows easy automation with a cobot. Easy to install and control, and fully programmable to ensure flexible workpiece handling, the EGH is suited to the handling, assembly and electronics industries. Additional features include integrated status display for visualizing the current operational status on eye level; control via IO-Link for pre-positioning of gripper fingers and evaluation of gripper condition; gripper movement with parallel kinematics for constant gripping force during the entire stroke; easily accessible quick-release assembly lock for simple and quick mounting to the lightweight robot; and optional flexible gripper fingers to improve flexibility and range of usage of the gripper.

Industrial PC

Beckhoff Automation has announced the C6025 industrial PC, which is part of the company’s line of ultra-compact IPCs. This space-saving IPC is designed to deliver the high computing performance of the Intel Core i series in a fanless, small-form-factor device. Measuring just 82 × 127 × 40 mm and combining high computing performance with a fanless design, the Microsoft Azure Certified C6025 IPC can be used for demanding automation and IoT applications where green, sustainable IT is also a requirement.
