The absence of friction lets the 4-mm linear servomotor run quietly. The only mechanical contact section is the linear guide, thereby eliminating friction. The unit measures 10 × 10 mm, weighs 9 gm, and has up to 40-mm strokes.

The unit’s coreless construction eliminates cogging and its design eliminates backlash. Specifications include: 0.5-N continuous stall thrust, 0.4-A continuous stall current, 2N peak thrust, 18-A peak current, 4-mm shaft diameter, 25-mm slider length; 10-mm slider width, 21.5 × 4-mm mounting pitch, 4-M2 mounting screw, 0.5-mm gap, 0.01-kg/F slider weight, 9-mm magnetic pitch, and 20, 30, and 40-mm strokes.
