The standard DSBF cylinder is equipped with self-adjusting cushioning PPS, which ensures that cushioning is always set correctly, even if parameters such as friction and pressure change. It reduces acceleration forces acting on machine components and workpieces which, in turn, reduces wear and minimizes time-consuming vibration. The self-adjusting cushioning is less expensive and more robust than shock absorbers. There is also no need for an adjusting screw, making the cylinder easier to clean.

Sealing materials and lubricating grease are approved for use with food, and work in temperatures from –40 to 248°F.
