Gearbox bearings must withstand tough operating conditions in applications from mining and conveying equipment to wind turbines. Single-row cylindrical roller bearings come in more than 3,000 different designs and versions, and handle high radial loads and moderate to high speeds. High-quality, rolling-bearing steel contributes to exceptional life, while the raceways’ high surface quality keeps the operating temperature down and reduces wear. The inner and outer rings can be fitted separately to simplify installation. Other standard gearbox bearings include spherical and taper roller bearings as well as angular contact and deep groove ball bearings. Special bearings for gearboxes can be developed and manufactured in close cooperation with users.
