Adjustable frequency drives

Oct. 1, 2011
IMPULSE Series 4 adjustable frequency drives are both reliable and cost-effective.

IMPULSE Series 4 adjustable frequency drives are both reliable and cost-effective.

Features & benefits

  • Useful for open-loop vector or V/F crane control, for traverse motions or mechanical load brake hoists; in addition, IMPULSE•VG+ Series 4 can be used as a closed-loop flux vector crane control for non-mechanical load brake hoists and high-performance traverse motions

  • Safety and control features, such as Load Check II, which continuously detects overload throughout frequency range, halting upward motion

  • Adaptive Ultra-Lift allows for hoist operation above base speed with a light load or empty hook; continuously monitors motor torque and adjusts motor speed

  • Safe Torque Off provides a redundant hardware safety circuit
