Linear motion platform

The SIMO (Simultaneous Integral Milling Operation) Series linear motion platform from PCB Linear lets design engineers meet multiple application requirements within a single platform.

The SIMO (Simultaneous Integral Milling Operation) Series linear motion platform from PCB Linear lets design engineers meet multiple application requirements within a single platform. Its consistent geometry creates a platform of interchangeable options, including:
• Rail heights — low profile for tight spaces or a tall version for structural integrity. Each aluminum base rail features the SIMO process for substantially less bow and twist, and better flatness.
• Three bearing tribologies; self-lubricating FrelonGold plain bearings, which are suitable for contaminated environments; V-wheel roller bearings for high speed applications; and profile rail linear guideways with recirculating ball bearings for rigidity and precision.
• Three drive types — leadscrew with machined nut or antibacklash nut, ball screw, or two versions of belt drives.
The mix-n-match feature lets engineers test multiple configurations and easily adapt to changing requirements dependent upon load, speed, accuracy, environment, and life considerations.
