Valve driver for use with PLCs or computers

June 1, 2011
D1 PWM enclosed valve driver manages proportional valves and converts proportional command voltage into a -1.1 to 1.1-A current signal to drive the valve's linear force motor.

  • Features & benefits

12 or 24-Vdc input; adjustable valve deadband, dither amplitude, and maximum current; interfaces with valve, eliminating the need to write valve-management routines

  • Digital closed-loop current control compensates for perturbations (input voltage variation and temperature-related coil-resistance changes); short-circuit protection, no heat sink required, LED indicators, and a temperature range of -40° to 65° C

  • Suitable for panel mounting or where electronics are exposed to end users; DIN clip for rail or flat-surface mounting, either from within the enclosure or the bottom
